This week on Profiles In Caring, we visit both U-S coasts to bring you stories of women with passion to carry out their dreams to protect what is most important to them.
First, we are in Fort Pierce, FL with Dr. Carol Noon and her organization, Save The Chimps. Dr. Noon battled the U-S Air Force to offer suitable living conditions for chimpanzees with a history of testing for NASA and medical-related research.
Her fight won, the chimps are still in the process of a huge transport effort from laboratories in New Mexico to Florida.
You will not soon forget this lady who has spent her life rescuing and protecting what many believe to be our closest relatives.

Then, we`re off to Redondo Beach, CA where we meet Lisa Crawford. Lisa`s focus is to maintain music as a permanent piece of the K-12 curriculum. There is plenty of research that says kids who study music score better in other core subjects, but through the years, budget cuts mean cuts in the fine arts and Lisa`s organization, The Music Stand Foundation, is out to change that. Plus, you`ll get to hear her kids sing a song they wrote.
